Three Christmas gift ideas for a sports addict

Since Christmas is just around the corner, stockings are filling up with presents. Everyone wants their gifts to be meaningful and memorable. We recommend buying something connected to your friend’s or relative’s passion. If they are into team sports, then you are in luck. We’ve put together a short list of Christmas gift ideas.

    Sports tracker

Many athletes dream of becoming professionals. A GPS sports tracking system can be a useful tool in achieving that goal. It records the athlete’s physical activity and calculates data based on GPS records and HR monitoring values. It points to areas where the athlete can improve. After identifying these weaknesses, users become more focused, goal-oriented, and efficient. Sports tracking provides a lot of useful information, for example about the covered distance, max speed, and average heart rate. However, there are also more complex parameters such as training impulse, metabolic power or player load. Thus no matter what you want to achieve, GPS sports tracking system is indeed a great gift idea.

There is a different understanding of “dressing nicely” in the sports world. An item of clothing that is not appealing or even looks ridiculous for most people may be a dream come true for an athlete. Also, there’s no such thing as too much sportswear for someone who exercises and trains daily. It’s good to have a second pair of running shoes, another set of sweatpants to put on after the game, and even the jersey of your favourite sports team. That means, sportswear is a gift idea you cannot overlook.

    Consultations with a coach

This may seem like an odd idea, since every football and rugby player already has a coach. He might even be the best coach in the area, but that doesn’t mean he knows it all. Each coach has a slightly different point of view. Even an interview or training session with another coach might be a valuable lesson for an athlete. It’s an opportunity to learn more about the discipline, find out about techniques that they didn’t know about, or simply get motivated.

Last but not least – find out what they need

Asking “What would you like for Christmas?” may not be as magical as getting a surprise from Santa Claus, but it sure is convenient. You don’t even have to be that direct, but learning about someone’s needs is very helpful when it comes to buying gifts. If your friend or relative is fully stocked with sportswear, there’s no need to get them any shirts or jackets. But perhaps sports tracking device is something they need? If they don’t have a GPS tracking system yet, maybe it would be just the right thing for them.
